Buying and selling safely

On Windruil you know who you are dealing with, and your money only goes to the seller once you have the gear.

What we do

• Verified identity. Every member verifies their identity with an ID document and a selfie, through Stripe.
• One account per person. An account closed for fraud cannot come back under another name.
• Money held until hand-over. The seller is only paid after the buyer confirms.
• Ratings after every sale, shown on the profile.

What you do

• Never pay outside the platform: no bank transfer, no Tikkie, no payment link from a stranger. Even if you are offered a discount.
• Stay in the platform’s messages: everything is kept if something goes wrong.
• In person: a public place, in daylight, and take your time to check the gear. Only give your code afterwards.
• Sellers: never give your card details to “receive” money. We pay out to your IBAN, with nothing to enter outside your account.
